I tried a great one today! It's so easy, but it costs a little money. You can usually get the parents to buy the ingredients for you. This interactive activity includes learning porportions. It doesn't however improve the sitter's spelling skills. LOL! Anyway, here it is.
Things you'll need:
one can of refrigerator biscuits
a small jar of pizza sauce
cheese (shredded)
a cookie sheet
other toppings good for pizza
Please read all instructions before beginning project.
Use this opportunity to improve hygiene. Have the kids wash their hands before beginning. Open the can of biscuits and give each child his/her fraction of what is in the can. Some cans have 10 biscuits leaving a group of three with an extra pizza. Don't take this pizza yourself. Either split it between the kids, or don't use it at all. Have each child spread his/her biscuit/pizza crust onto an ungreased cookie sheet. DO NOT USE WAX PAPER FOR THIS PROJECT (I learned that one the hard way.) Give each child a spoon and have them spread their desired portion of sauce on the pizza. Then add other toppings as desired. Cook in 250* oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble. (if you don't spread the biscuits out, they won't cook before your cheese is melted) Have fun with it. Make each pizza your own.
Aother tasty healthy one is a snack called ants on a log all you need is.
Celery
Peanut Butter
Chocolate Chips
Smear Peanut butter on the celery. and then stick the chocolate chips on!
Its really good and kids love it!
Wow! I love that recipe with the biscuit pizza.
I'll have to try it with my kids. Thanks.

I made these once for 'my kids.' (3 siblings who I adore and they seemed to adore me). We loved them.
