Here are a few things I found that you may want to take a look at. Keep in mind that there are a few different terms for what she intends to do. It can be called "family daycare" or "home daycare," among other terms.

And you know what, as a former pre-school teacher myself, I don't blame her! While I LOVED my class, private childcare has allowed me to be paid more per child, choose my own schedule and benefits, and be selective as to who is under my care. I'm also allowed more one-on-one with each child, and years with them (instead of waving good-bye as they graduate out of pre-school), which has been an incredible blessing. Kudos to her for knowing what she wants and doing what it takes to achieve it. Best of luck to you and her!
