Fave Bands?

I know this is WAY off topic (LOL), but I'm just curious. What are some of your fave bands/singers?

BTW, mine are My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Nickelback, and a bunch of other rock bands. Oha nd BTW, PARAMORE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like selected Broadway music -- my all-time favorite is Phantom of the Opera. Along that track, I love opera singers like Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford, and the newer group Il Divo. I've also been really impressed by the new tenor that's come on the scene, Paul Potts.

I listen to a lot of Christian music, too: DC Talk, Nichole Nordeman, Out of Eden, and the rappers KJ-52 and Pettidee. My husband introduced me to a hardcore rock band, Demon Hunter, and one of their songs ("My Throat is an Open Grave") was our first dance song at our wedding, believe it or not. You can hear the song at that link, but the video is for a game (also a favorite of mine!)

When I'm in the car, though, I only listen to Talk Radio. It's rare to find radio stations now that play good music -- I like the unique, the classic, and original stuff. At least with Talk Radio, I'm guaranteed that there's new news everyday. :)

I listen to Christian rock music, This Beautiful rebublic, Emery, Red, Decyfer Down, Disciple, Skilet, Pillar, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch, Toby mac, kj 52, T-bone, Plumb, Blindside, Spoken, The Send Falling up, Family Force five...

I also like some big band music. (I like to swing dance...)

I like just about every kind of music, Green Day, the Dixie Chicks, Steve Earle, Hanson, The Clash, John Prine, Kasey Chambers, Rancid, and Foo Fighters rank among my very faves.

I also have a huge fondness for Broadway tunes, Chicago, Grease, The Sound of Music, The Lion King, Hairspray...I love 'em all!

Some favs: Mariah Carey, Gyptian, Jah Cure, Ziggy Marley, Bob Marley, "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield, Jill Scott...

Basically I like anything positive from mostly these genres: reggae, rap, (yes, there is some positive rap.LOL), r&b, gospel, christian, a select few slow rock or alternative rock songs, a slect few country, French music, hindi music, show tunes, etc...the list goes on. I like alot of stuff. Wink [;)]

Only stuff I really don't like is hard rock, metal, or mexican polka

LOL, no Mexican polka huh? If you mean mariachi music, I really like it! There's a group in New York that plays on the 6 train sometimes and they always get me to look up from my book or turn down my iPod. I love them!

I am also a huge fan of about everything that came out of the '60's...rock, pop, r and b...it was all good...

No, I don't mean mariachi. I love it when the Mariachi bands come sing at your table at the Mexican restaurants.

I mean the stuff you might hear on the radio with the accordions. I don't know what to call it but Mexican polka because it's in Spanish. LOL

I think I just don't like some types of accordion music. Wink [;)]
