Hello, my boss has just asked me to be godmother to one of her kids who i babysit. I am very very touched that she has asked me, they are basically like family to me and it was my boss (heidi) that helped me become a christian in the first place. Anyway i'm just wondering if anyone has any gift ideas. I have two ideas in mind myself. The first is a really gorgeous bracelet with her name on from www.tinyblessings.com and the second is a really pretty locket which sings when you open the box with a picture of her and maybe (i think this is a bit sad) a picture of me in it. I'm also going to write her a poem. I was just wondering what everyone thought i should get her, one of my own ideas or one of your own maybe? xxxx thanx xxxx

I like the bracelet -- it's gorgeous.

Not sure if it's done this way in England as well, but -- my understanding of a godparent's role is that of a spiritual leader for the child.  Maybe a children's picture Bible would be a great gift, too.  :)
