Halloween is coming up so here are some fun ideas for the kids. Add more if you like : )

Carving pumpkins is very dangerous for little kids so why not get a little pumpkin and paint it? Or get stickers and put sticks all over it. Or maybe the kid could help you carve the pumkin but you cutting the top off and letting the kid or crazy grabbing all those seeds out. Then you could put the pumkin seeds in the oven and cook.

Help them make a trick or treat bag. Ideas- use a pillow case and get random things to decorate with like paints or cut out shapes from felt and glue it on. Lunch bags and decorate with markers and stickers, etc.

Make masks- Go to a craft store and get paper masks and items to decorate( feathers, beads, markers, stickers)

I think these are so cute! Spider pops-- http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=10079

Easy, fun, and creative treat- Caramel Apples. Very easy to make and if you buy a few different kinds of candy to coat the outside; it can be fun(gummie worms, M&M's, sprinkles, nuts.) Of course make sure this is okay with the parents as some kids have allergies or are not allowed sweets.-- http://allrecipes.com/recipe/caramel-apples/detail.aspx

Not to be a party-pooper, but make sure the family celebrates Halloween first.  Jehovah's Witnesses and some Christians choose to avoid the holiday.  :)

I found these orange paper plates at the grocery store for only a dollar! When I was baby-sitting we made masks with glitter, markers, etc.
