I just landed a job babysitting 3 children (7,4, 2 1/2) and their mother is permitting me to bring my son along ( 1 1/2) m, t, w, f from 8am-4:30. The 7 year old is in school all day so I will only have him from 3-4:30, I will take the 4 year old to preschool 3 afternoons a week and will have the 2 1/2 year old and my son all the time. I have no idea how much to charge. The last family I nannied for was extended family so I didn't get paid very much. Thankssss, Jessie

You're working 34 hours/week regularly -- you offer a reduced rate for job security.  You're bringing along a child -- you offer a reduced rate for him, because he will take some of your attention away from the other three.

I would work for a flat $8-9/hour.  Go for $9/hour if you're not receiving a little extra to cover gas, especially if the schools are not located within or close to the neighborhood.
