There are so many out there- www.sittercity.com, www.callforsitters.com. What do you use and which has the most job offers for your town? Thanks!    Report

02-05-2008, 5:02 PM babysitterlaura Joined on 08-12-2007 USA Getting to Know Us Re: Internet Babysitting Sites The only internet babysitting site I use is sittercity.  I did look at other sites but I decided to pick sittercity because I knew parents who used it and liked it, it has a great reputation, and it is safe.  The parents pay a good sum of money for the service so the chance of a creep being on there is lower than a free site.  It also only allows babysitters over 17 years of age which also helps ward off the creeps who are not there for real babysitting purposes.  I also like the fact, that if I wanted to, I could run a background check on a parent for $10.  I like the way the site is engineered, it is easy to use, and it allows you to create a great profile.  You can also advertise other services such as petsitting, housesitting, elder care, and tutoring which I think is great.  I have been in contact with many families through sitter city and have landed many jobs through the site.  There are always jobs available in my area, and it is easy to search jobs in my area based on times, places, or rates that I want.  All in all, I think sittercity is a great babysitting site and I am so thankful for it.     Report
